Heritage Train Event A Great Success Despite The Heat
The first joint event between SHHL Association and Transport Heritage N.S.W was supported by 1200 passengers.
Despite the hot weather conditions, passengers came from a wide range of locations, some as far as Wagga and Dorrigo.
A total of six trips were booked out and travelled from North Sydney station via Waverton station to Lavender Bay and return. The vintage train was built well before anyone thought air conditioning was a necessity on a train.
SHHL Assoc would like to thank its supporters and Transport Heritage N.S.W for the great day out. Sydney Harbour Highline is hoping to organise more of these trips throughout the year, so stay tuned to this station.
